Shadora Smith, MA, ALC
Shadora Smith, ALC is an Associate Licensed Counselor. She specializes in treating Adults, Couples, and Children and Adolescents. Shadora has a passion for treating Children and Adolescents in hopes of assisting them reach developmental and emotional milestones by restructuring their behavior patterns and nurturing emotional regulation skills to conquer and respond appropriately to everyday challenges. Shadora has received specialized training from the University of South California to run an evidence-based curriculum. She specializes in treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Adjustment Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and High functioning Autism. She receives ongoing training and coaching to provide sand tray therapy, which is her new-found love. In addition to treating children, Shadora also provides services to Adults. Adulthood mental wellness is a key component to success, happiness, peace, and a life of freedom. Healthy family systems begin with healthy, happy adults.
Shadora currently provides services through telehealth. Shadora is hands on, thus all material for sessions will be sent via email or postal address. Shadora is currently looking for at least four children between the ages of 4 years old to 8 years old to introduce the evidence-based curriculum that will meet twice a week via telehealth. Please voice your interest when scheduling an appointment.
When Shadora is not counseling, she enjoys spending time with her family. Shadora has been married for 11 years and has 3 children. She enjoys vacationing, spending time on the beach, outdoor adventures, family game night, shopping, sports, cooking, and reading. I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you, in hopes of helping you reach you and your family’s goals.
