Dr. Terra Griffin, Ed D, LPC-S, NCC

Dr. Terra Griffin is a licensed professional counselor who provides individual, group, family, and couples therapy for adolescents and adults.  Her experience includes working with adjustment disorders and life transitions, anxiety, assertiveness and confidence issues, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.  Her specialized populations include: African American, women, LGBTQ, military spouses, veterans, first responders/law enforcement/military, work-life balance, and women in leadership.  Dr. Griffin utilizes a person-centered and strength-based approach to empower clients to identify their strengths and help them utilize these strengths to succeed in life.  She also helps clients learn the impact their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors have on their overall well-being.  Her treatment philosophy incorporates cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, play therapy, and trauma focused approach.  She collaborates with her client to determine what is beneficial for them.  Dr. Griffin received her bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology/Audiology for the University of Texas at Dallas; she received her master's degree in mental health counseling from Clemson University; and received her doctorate degree in counseling psychology from Argosy University.
